1991

The hedge between the green and tennis courts has been removed, to be grassed/flagged, affiliation fees to the various leagues had been increased, so club fees were raised by £1, to cover this .The club was asked if it wanted to tender for the franchise of the cafe on the park, but decided not to. Club membership now contains 28 man-wife members.. On September 1st the council made a start on laying the NEW GREEN. On 6th October a letter was sent to Ken Fox asking if the club can join the BELPER LEAGUE

The mens 1st team reached the finals day of the County Cup

It was announced at the AGM, where 79 members attended, that the new green would be open next year, although not yet turfed. Teams were entered in the Belper league, and another team in the vets league( now 3)

1993

It was agreed to call the new green -The Willow Green.,it was turfed on 18th March, 3rd vets team introduced as we now have 100 members over 60. On 27th June the go ahead for the irrigation system was given. 88 members attended the AGM, and new irrigation(Park Green) was to be installed before start of next season. Our part of the deal was to remove the hedge on the left side of the green, supply the water tank, and lay pipes and cables.

The water system was up and running in March, and the next project was to be  a pavilion for the Willow green. This was erected in 1994

1993   A rule was passed that a member cannot play for more than 4 teams per week. First mention that club internal competitions were to be played on Sundays, It was decided to present trophies to runners up, resulting in 235 trophies being presented. 

1994  Floodlights installed on Willow green, and the shelter on the parks green was extended towards the rangers hut., team averages were abandoned.

1995 All internal competitions wold be 11.00 start

1996 Greens would be allocated per team. rather than all SD League on one green and Belper League on the other.

1997 Ladies swapped greens to playing all their games on the Willow .Social membership was no longer allowed as it was against the rules of the Liquor Licence, Derby Parks were              now running a junior league. It was carried at the AGM that the Vets Secretary be conbined with the men's 1st team captain. There was mention of a floodlit league being                 formed. Life membership was to be 25 years membership. No person to propose or nominate a team captain unless they were part of a team .We would only enter the floodlite league if it was mixed.

1998 Extension plans had now been submitted to the Leisure committee and been accepted, these now go to council for planning permission. Subs were increased as the council had           increased green fees by 10%. THE MENS 1ST TEAM WERE PROMOTED TO THE PREMIER DIVISION (THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THE CLUB HAD A MENS TEAM IN THE TOP                         DIVISION OF THE LEAGUE. THE MENS 2ND TEAM WON THE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS,(this is one of the major trophies in the SDCGBA)

1999  Two walkie talkies purchased for communicating between the two green score huts .A 15 year tenure was granted by the council. Applications for Awards for all. and lottery awards were turned down, decided to apply for lottery grant instead. The Chairman resigned and was to become our new Club President, and presented a cup called the Presidents Cup. Phil De'Ath introduced as new Club President

FROM THIS POINT ONWARDS IT APPEARS THE MINUTES WERE ENTERED ON A COMPUTER AND THE PRINTED FOR DISTRIBUTION TO COMMITTEE MEMBERS,HOWEVER ELECTRONIC COPIES OF INDIVIDUAL MEETINGS WERE NOT HELD BY ANY OF THE SECRETARIES FROM 2005 ONWARDS.

2002-2005   Lottery had started run by Ken Martin .June Roberts won all her league games. Toilet extension completed  on the Willow Green.It was agreed by the council that we would be allowed to mow and scarify our own greens, and a list of volunteers was drawn up to do this.Team averages agreed to be 3pts win, 2pts for home win 1 point for away losers scoring more than 16 pts,

2006 A reduction in fees was agreed due to the council charging less, as we were doing our own grass cutting. The greens were allocated different mowers.
